An immersive audio-visual experience for the new millenium
Commissioned by and developed in collaboration with the Ars Activa Foundation, "Artemis Arise" will bring together music, light and film to create an experience unlike any other: one that will transport the audience into cosmic realms. The direct inspiration comes from the recently launched Artemis project by NASA, designed to bring humans back on the Moon, to establish a sustainable lunar presence, and to create a gateway to the farthest reaches of the Solar System.
The dream of space travel has been present through the ages, but this dream is becoming reality in our time. "Artemis Arise" is set to collide the dimensions of science and beauty and to redirect our gaze to distant - very distant! - horizons.
We are planning to develop an immersive touring live show. Further down the road, we are hoping to bring "Artemis Arise" to IMAX theatres.
Bridging the ancient and the contemporary
Randy Boyagoda, internationally acclaimed Canadian author of Sri Lankan heritage, has been writing a story to complement the music: a modern adaptation of the ancient Greek "Argonautica" by Apollonius of Rhodes that transposes Jason's quest for the Golden Fleece from sea to space.
